What issues did you have before introducing the laser engraving machine?
Our company has a rich history of 90 years in toothbrush manufacturing, dating back to its founder, and has been engaged in the production for over 40 years since its establishment.
Our inaugural in-house brand, ‘VIGAKU LAB’, particularly the cleansing brush, has received high praise from numerous customers, including esthetic salons and clinics nationwide. In 2017, we achieved significant growth with the completion of our in-house factory.
In pursuing further development, we aimed to differentiate ourselves from conventional products in the lower price range. We identified the strategy of adding value to our products by incorporating the brand name, and thus, we were in search of a machine that could make this possible.

What are the reasons and main considerations for introducing the laser machine?
In our search for a machine capable of engraving our brand name onto products, we came across COMNET's laser engraver. Despite having no prior knowledge of laser engraving, we found that the machine offered easy and efficient engraving capabilities. The user-friendly operation and the robust support system provided a sense of reassurance, leading us to make the decision to adopt this C180 laser engraver.

TANABE's Toothbrush is a product that reflects our commitment to quality, featuring a unique bristle technique inspired by the traditional brush-making methods of ancient Nara. The meticulous attention to detail and the passion embedded in our products are evident.
The laser engraving of the brand name serves as a means to express our passion and pride in our craftsmanship, adding an element of embellishment and value.
Since we started engraving brand names with the C180 laser engraving machine, we have also received more and more requests for work from other manufacturers. We now receive more opportunities, including the production of toothbrushes for commemorative purposes and other small-batch projects.

What are your future prospects for the laser business?
We are considering exporting our products abroad.
We believe that with the added touch of laser engraving, individuals abroad can better appreciate the quality of TANABE toothbrushes. Therefore, we aspire to increasingly promote our brand with greater effort to achieve this goal.
